Alia-AI, the student medical-technology startup created within the KidsInBusiness.gr programme at Rodion Paideia Schools, has won Silver Award at the Education Leaders Awards 2026, in the category "Collaboration with Businesses & Community".
The Education Leaders Awards are one of Greece’s most prestigious recognitions of educational excellence. This distinction confirms that Alia-AI was never just a school project — it was a real entrepreneurial venture that reached the top.
The idea that became a product
The Alia-AI team comprises 24 Gymnasium and Lyceum students with programme coordinator, mathematician Arnithenou Stavroula, founder of KidsInBusiness.gr, and mentor Dimitris Leiomonis (Financial Arena).
What they achieved was far from easy: they turned an idea into a functional MVP — a medical-technology platform available at alia-ai.gr, ready for pilot deployment in real medical practices. They organised roles, made decisions, set goals, overcame challenges and delivered something real. They did not just learn what a business is. They built one.
This is exactly the philosophy of KidsInBusiness.gr: entrepreneurial thinking is not taught only on a whiteboard. It is acquired through action.
A track record of recognition
The Silver Award at the Education Leaders Awards 2026 did not come out of nowhere. Alia-AI had already stood out in the nationwide Junior Achievement Greececompetition, among 53 student companies, claiming the Best Product Promotion Award. In May 2026, the team’s story also reached WIRED Greece.
Every recognition is the result of the students’ work — and proof that when you trust young people with real tools and real problems to solve, the results exceed every expectation.
